EDUCATION AS
A FOUNDATION
OF SELF
EDUCATION AS A
FOUNDATION OF SELF
The Disa Primary School curriculum provides a strong educational foundation that combines world class all-round education and an extensive extramural programme with cutting-edge technology and very practical support such as taking care of the basics by offering nutritious breakfasts and lunches and subsidising the cost of uniforms and stationery.
The Disa Primary School facilities give our pupils a solid advantage. In addition to meeting our learners’ basic needs, Disa Primary also attends to barriers to learning. Our Therapy Team consists of 9 specialists including a social worker, two speech therapists, two occupational therapists, one counsellor, two remedial teachers and a nurse who work with teaching staff to provide the additional support learners need to thrive.
The school prioritises creating a safe and supportive environment in beautiful surroundings where our children can play and learn without distraction.
We understand the need to be a trauma-informed school and are developing a culture of self-regulation. Strong self-regulation skills in early childhood can lead to positive mental and physical health and educational attainment. Self-regulation allows learners to become less reactive and more proactive in their behaviour and learning by understanding their feelings and how to manage them.

VALUES IN ACTION
Disa Primary School, and its entire community, are committed to putting its values in action. These are not just empty words.
For the entire school, from the teachers to the learners, and the grounds staff to the chefs in the kitchen, the values are lived each and every day.
